Wow, Soapstone was amazing! I wrote a lot, walked a lot, and have felt a shift in my writing since I’ve returned. Here’s the news for this month…
The new issue of Gertrude was mailed recently. The cover is amazing. Hope you enjoy both the writing and the art!
Members of the Oregon State Poetry Association will receive the March newsletter soon. I’ve also updated the web site with details of our Spring Conference in Salem. We’ll be celebrating the gala opening of the Oregon Poetry Collection, and enjoy workshops in Free Verse, Light Verse (my personal favorite!), Chapbooks, and Gothic Poetry.
The 29th Street Writers read to a packed crowd last month at Broadway Books. We’re continuing our semester, and I’m enjoying my turn as host this month.
Looking ahead, next month I’ll be going back to the Oregon Coast for a Writer-in-Residence poetry weekend at Oregon Writers Colony. I’m really looking forward to time for editing and polishing the manuscript I began at Soapstone.
I hope the lengthening days are bringing new light and life into your work…
Blessings,
Elizabeth
