Winter 2009

Greetings at the start of the New Year! A few items to note this month:

  • Gertrude’s Chapbook Contest closes on February 15. Consider sending in your entry for a chance to see your chapbook in print. Chapbook entry fees go directly into the cost of production and help keep the press alive.

  • Look for an updated Gertrude Press web site in the next month. I’m in the process of re-vamping the site to allow us to blog and update news items more often.

  • New poetry appears online this month at In the Mist, an “outdoor magazine by and for women.”

  • My graduate studies at Marylhurst University continue to be challenging and uplifiting. I’m starting to feel my focus shift away from writing for writing’s sake and into writing for healing, transformation, and renewal.

Much poetry happiness,

Elizabeth
