• The Gertrude Press 2008 Chapbook Competition deadline is Feb 15. Details at: http://www.gertrudepress.org.

• Another deadline…the Spring contest for the Oregon State Poetry Association ends on Feb 28. I’m in the middle of working on the newsletter, which will be in your boxes in mid-March, full of details of our Spring Conference in Salem.

• My writing group, the 29th Street Writers, has a new web site at: www.29thstreetwriters.com.

• Soapstone, here I come!! I’m so excited to have time on the Oregon coast to write thanks to a residency at Soapstone in February.

• I completed the 27-hour training to be a volunteer workshop facilitator with Write Around Portland. Mark your calendars now for the reading in April…

• Finally, my web site of spiritual writings is at http://litwit.elizabethsimson.com.
